Responsibilities

Tasks

  • Lead the vision, strategy, and execution of the organization’s health information systems, with a focus on EMR/EHR platforms, patient engagement tools, and clinical workflow optimization.
  • Collaborate with C-level leadership to define IT strategies that align with clinical, operational, and financial objectives.
  • Drive continuous innovation by assessing emerging healthcare technologies and digital health trends.
  • Oversee full product lifecycle management of clinical and administrative technology solutions using Agile and SAFe methodologies.

  • Ensure timely delivery and evolution of EMR/EHR functionalities across all departments by leading cross-functional product teams.

  • Guide product backlog prioritization, sprint planning, and stakeholder alignment across multiple scrum teams.

  • Leverage prior clinical experience to translate healthcare delivery needs into system requirements and solution designs.

  • Champion interoperability initiatives and ensure compliance with healthcare standards including HL7, FHIR, HIPAA, HEDIS, CCDA, and ICD/SNOMED coding.

  • Lead enterprise-wide IT operations, infrastructure, and support systems to ensure security, scalability, and reliability.

  • Establish KPIs and success metrics for system performance, project delivery, and end-user satisfaction.

  •  Ensure all systems adhere to local, provincial/state, and federal regulations.
