Child Caregiver-Private Home

Job Summary:

We are a private household in Scarborough, ON seeking a dedicated and responsible full-time Child Caregiver-Private Home to provide attentive care in our home.

-  Salary: $20.00 per hour, 30 hours per week

-  Work Site Environment: Non-smoking, Scent free

-  Work Location: Must work in employer's home: 7-15 Eaton Park Lane, Scarborough, Ontario M1W 0A5

-  Employment Expected to Start on: As Soon As Possible

Job Duties:

-  Maintain a safe, clean and caring environment for the child.

-  Prepare healthy meals and snacks based on the child’s needs.

-  Plan and supervise structured, age-appropriate learning activities and playtime.

-  Provide educational training based on the child’s age, including out-door and in-door activities, games, reading, etc.

-  Maintain professional and positive relationships with parents and the child.

-  Monitor and support the child’s emotional and social growth.

-  Keep up-to-date records of children’s development, routines, and interest.

-  May Perform light housekeeping tasks upon request.

-  When necessary, administer first-aid or CPR to the child.

Requirements:

-  Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

-  Previous Experience in the same field and/or previous full-time training in the field will be an asset.

-  Must be able to speak, write, read and understand English.

-  First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate would be an asset.
