Job Title: Software Developer

Location: 465 Laird Road, Guelph, Ontario (On-site)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: $75,100 per annum

Job Summary:

Daltec Canadian Buffalo Manufacturing Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Business System Software Developer to design, develop, and maintain business software systems that support key operational areas, including sales, quality control, and engineering efforts. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance business efficiency through custom software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Software Development & System Design
    • Develop and implement business software solutions tailored to enhance sales, quality control, and engineering processes.
    • Design and optimize database structures to support efficient data management.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into functional software applications.
    • Conduct code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure software reliability and performance.
  2. Sales & Customer Relationship Support
    • Develop and maintain CRM tools to streamline sales operations.
    • Implement automation solutions for tracking leads, customer interactions, and order processing.
    • Optimize sales forecasting models by integrating business intelligence and analytics tools.
  3. Quality Assurance & Compliance
    • Develop software solutions to monitor and enforce quality standards in manufacturing and business processes.
    • Automate quality control reporting and integrate systems for data tracking and compliance adherence.
    • Support real-time data analytics to improve decision-making in quality management.
  4. Engineering & Process Optimization
    • Design and maintain engineering software tools that enhance production efficiency.
    • Support integration of CAD, ERP, and other engineering software into business operations.
    • Work with engineers to develop digital solutions for product lifecycle management.
  5. Technical Support & System Maintenance
    • Ensure system security, backups, and data integrity across all software applications.
    • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for internal business users.
    • Continuously update software to adapt to business needs and technological advancements.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or completion of a college program in a related field.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in C#, Java, Python, or other object-oriented programming languages.
    • Experience with database management (SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
    • Knowledge of ERP, CRM, and Business Intelligence (BI) software.
    • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, cloud computing, and system integration.
    • Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 1 year of experience in software programming.

 

  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Annual Salary: $75,100 with a workload of 30 hours a week
  • Vacation Pay: 4% of gross salary
  • ?ompany Benefits: Upon successful completion of the probationary period, the employee is eligible for the company’s group insurance plan offered through Group Life. The plan includes Life Insurance, AD & D, LTD, Health, Dental and Vision Care.

The company pays for Life Insurance, Dependent Life and AD & D at 100% with the remainder of the package divided equally with the employee. The employee’s portion of the premium will be deducted from each employee’s wages on a weekly basis
