IoT Software Specialists – Wireless IoT Water Leak Detection

Employment type: Full time, 1 year contract, Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm, 30 hours per week

Job Summary: We are seeking one highly skilled IoT Specialist to support the setup and deployment of wireless IoT devices for water leak detection. This position will focus on software development. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in software development areas, including IoT system integration, troubleshooting, and optimization.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain cloud-based software solutions for IoT device connectivity and data management.
  • Implement APIs, dashboards, and applications for monitoring and controlling IoT devices.
  • Work with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) to enable secure data transmission, analytics, and remote device management.
  • Design and optimize backend services for real-time IoT data processing.
  • Implement security measures to protect data integrity and device communication.
  • Ensure seamless integration between IoT devices, cloud platforms, and mobile/web applications.
  • Develop a mobile app (Android and iPhone) for a smart home system.
  • Develop a setting tool for the installation of a smart home system.
  • Conduct software testing, debugging, and performance optimization for scalability and reliability.
  • Arrive at the venue to install and test the software.
  • Collaborate with firmware developers and hardware engineers to enhance system functionality.
  • Create, debug, and validate test code for mobile apps with Flutter (iOS/Android).
  • Create, debug, and validate test code for IoT Cloud Service (MQTT).
  • Create, debug, and validate test code for AWS Cloud Server.
  • Develop software solutions for both production and testing environments.
  • Help the company contribute technical details to patent documents.

 

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum college diploma or equivalent training in software development, IoT, or related fields.
  • Extensive experience in cloud computing and IoT platform development.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Node.js.
  • Hands-on experience with MQTT, RESTful APIs, and database management (SQL, NoSQL).
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools and dashboards.
  • Experience in securing IoT devices and cloud-based applications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in deploying IoT solutions for industrial or environmental monitoring.
  • Knowledge of AI/ML applications for IoT data analytics.
  • Experience with mobile or web applications for IoT device management.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements for wireless communication devices.
