Job Title: Ethnic Food Cook

Job Description:

??As an Ethnic Food Cook, you will carry out the following job duties:

• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods

• Skillfully use spices, herbs, and seasonings that are specific to the ethnic cuisine to create balanced and flavorful dishes

• Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances

• Select and source specialised ingredients that are essential to the ethnic cuisine.

• Plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies

• Inspect kitchens and food service areas

• Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment

• Clean kitchen and work areas

• Properly store food items at appropriate temperatures

• Restock kitchen for subsequent shifts

• Cooking on Tandoor

• Reliable and punctual

• Working in fast paced environment

Pay rate: 

• $35 per hour

Education and Work experience:

• Minimum Secondary (high) school graduation

• 6 months minimum experience required
