4 POSITIONS – TRUCK DRIVER ($29.00 PER HOUR) PERMANENT, FULL TIME, REQUIRED IMMEDIATELY FOR GROUND PILOT LOGISTICS INC., 64 MINAS WAREHOUSE RD., NEW MINAS, B4N 5G3 NOVA SCOTIA CANADA

Start Date: As soon as possible

Duties: Arrange travel, related itineraries and make reservations, Load and unload goods, Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes, Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment, Perform emergency roadside repairs, Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle, Perform preventive maintenance, Receive and relay information to central dispatch, Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption, Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo, Transport and handle dangerous goods.

Language: English

Education: Secondary (High) School Graduation Certificate

Work Experience: Will Train

Documentation Knowledge - Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Driver logbook, Accident or incident reports, Trip reports

Communication Systems Experience - Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment

Transportation/Travel Information - Valid driver’s licence – Class 1

Weight Handling – Up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
