Job Duties
- Event Planning: Developing event concepts, coordinating, and organizing all aspects of events by meeting stake holders like sponsors, organizers, vendors (caterers, florists, audio-visual technicians, and photographers) and others. Ensure compliance with city by-laws at every stage of planning.
- Budget Management: Developing and managing budgets for each event, ensuring all expenses are within the client’s budgetary guidelines. Negotiate contracts and approve invoices (within authorized limits).
- Staff Management: Managing a team of event staff, including event assistants, volunteers, and security personnel. Hire, train, and conduct performance reviews as per laid down procedures.
- Event Control: Oversee set-up, ensuring all elements are in place and functional before the event. Manage the flow of the event, addressing any last-minute changes. Act as point of contact for guests, handle request and resolve issues. Coordinate with the banquet hall’s kitchen, service staff, maintenance team, and any external vendors.
- Post-Event Evaluation: Evaluating the success of events and identifying areas for improvement. Prepare a comprehensive report of each event for presentation to the management as required.
- Any other relevant/necessary task for the success of the event.
