Archer is seeking for a skillful and energetic Junior Sous-Chef in downtown Vancouver!

Position: Junior Sous-Chef
Employment Type: Permanent / Full-time
Compensation: $35 per hour
Working hours: 30~40 hours per week
Responsibilities:
- Cook and complete menus and dishes.
- Help a chef create new seasonal dishes.
- Build or assist in creating work schedules for the kitchen staff.
- Supervise activities of kitchen staff.
- Instruct and deploy the kitchen staff considering daily operation.
- Participate in meetings with the chef and managerial team for creating new menus, seasonal planning/promotions etc.
- Manage and maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment, and report it to the chef/owner weekly.
- Ensure food and work safety as the company standards.
- Train newly hired cook(s) and kitchen helper(s).
Requirements:
- Working experience: Minimum 3 years of commercial cooking experience or at least 1 year of commercial cooking experience who graduated from culinary arts program
- Education: Completion of high school (secondary education)
- Language: English
- Must be available to work on weekends and holidays.
