We are looking for a full-time and permanent Accounting Bookkeeper to assist with our growing business.

Salary: C$26.25 per hour (30-40hrs/week) with 4% paid vacation.Overtime will be calculated after 40hrs.

Job requirement: 

  • Secondary School Completion.
  • Completion of a college program a related field is an asset. 
  • Previous experience is an asset.

Responsibilities:

  • Record journal entries, reconcile accounts, create trial balances, manage general ledgers, and compile financial statements.
  • Utilize accounting software like QuickBooks to accurately track accounts receivable and accounts payable.
  • Enter invoices, receipts, and vendor statements, and prepare financial documents at the end of each period for review.
  • Calculate and prepare payroll items such as paystubs, issue paychecks, issue Records of Employment (ROE) and T4s; prepare and process payments for utilities, taxes, and other bills.
  • Set up, manage, and balance various accounts using both manual and computerized bookkeeping systems to maintain financial records and account balances.
  • Prepare and submit tax returns, along with offering additional personal bookkeeping services.
  • Fill out and file tax remittance forms, workers' compensation forms, pension contribution forms, and other necessary government documents.
  • Report sales taxes such as GST, PST, payroll liabilities, and WorkSafeBC premiums.
  • Audit and reconcile discrepancies in trial balances, financial reports, and year-end accounts for company tax filing purposes.
  • Create and present financial, statistical, and accounting reports.
  • Assist customers with ICBC insurance claims.
