Doula Position

Join a Great Team! Support Several Clients a Month and Teach Prenatal and Parenting Classes

Balancing Birth to Baby, a leading provider of prenatal and postpartum education and doula support, is looking to expand our dynamic team. Our unique classes and doula services are highly recommended by local care providers and trusted by hospital staff in our area. Since opening in 2016, we have proudly won multiple Reader’s Choice awards in our community. We serve families from Guelph to Stratford, Cambridge to Fergus, and all areas in between. We are seeking dedicated birth and postpartum doulas to join our team!

The Position:

We are looking for passionate and skilled doulas to join our team. The ideal candidate will be fully certified, a member of the Association of Ontario Doulas, and have their own liability insurance and reliable transportation. If you are still in training, we offer support to complete your certification and provide mentorship upon joining our team.

You will embody the high standards our brand is known for: unbiased care, exemplary service, evidence-based knowledge, and compassionate support for all family members and structures. If you identify as a “Birth Nerd” or "Baby Nerd," and have a love for birth and early postpartum care, along with a willingness to continually grow in your doula skills, you will be a perfect fit!

Qualifications:

• Full certification as a doula (or in training with willingness to complete certification)

• Membership with the Association of Ontario Doulas

• Liability insurance

• Reliable transportation

• Strong commitment to providing unbiased, evidence-based care

• Compassionate and empathetic approach to all family members and structures

• Excellent teamwork skills, as our doulas work in pairs to share clients and on-call time

• Teaching skills or a willingness to teach is a bonus, as we offer a wide variety of classes in the Waterloo Region

Responsibilities:

• Provide prenatal and postpartum support to clients

• Teach prenatal and parenting classes

• Work collaboratively with a team of doulas

• Maintain high standards of service and care
