Salary: CAD $46.50 per hour for a standard 35-hour workweek (approx. CAD $84,630 annually)

 Job Overview:  

The Logistics Operations Manager will play a critical role in planning, managing, and optimizing logistics and transportation operations. This position is focused on improving efficiency, overseeing policies and procedures, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, while leading a dedicated team to achieve strategic goals.

 

 Key Responsibilities:  

- Plan, organize, direct, and oversee all aspects of transportation operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and adherence to regulations.  

- Develop and implement policies regarding transportation safety and the handling of goods.  

- Manage fleet scheduling, maintenance, and servicing to ensure optimal performance.  

- Oversee and track department budgets, making strategic financial decisions to maintain cost control.  

- Monitor company performance metrics, prepare performance reports, and adjust policies and schedules as necessary.  

- Recruit, hire, train, and develop employees to support operational success.  

- Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and carriers to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.  

- Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) to optimize logistics operations and decision-making.  

 

 Qualifications:  

- 7 months to 1 year of related experience in transportation operations, logistics, or a similar field.  

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field preferred (equivalent experience may be considered).  

- Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance standards.  

- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to motivate and develop staff.  

- Effective communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.  

- Proficiency with transportation management systems (TMS) and other relevant software tools.

 

 Benefits:
