Job Description

We are currently looking for two Retail Store Supervisors to join immediately.
Job Duties
• Supervise, lead, and co-ordinate sales staff, stockers, and retail sales associates
• Take full responsibility of floor, storage, cash, inventory, and customer relations for the store
• Assign duties to employees and monitor them while they work
• Prepare inventory orders by determining the stocks of produce and merchandise
• Deal with vendors and customer complaints
• Train new hires in retail, company policies, and customer service
• Authorize return of merchandise
• Monitor and count merchandise; Resolve customer complaints and supply shortages
• Implement measures to avoid stock damages, theft, and wastage
• Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising and personnel matters
• Prepare work schedules; Open and/or close the store by performing duties such as placing and removing signage, opening and closing tills, unlocking and securing the store
• Maintain the cleanliness of the store by ensuring that maintenance duties are completed
• Prepare and make bank deposits, maintains financial records such as the daily journal
• Operates cash register and processes cash, debit card and credit card sale transactions
• May be asked to perform duties as workers supervised by the management
• Help, drive, motivate, and encourage retail sales staff to achieve sales targets
Job Requirements:
• Completion of secondary school is required. Any post-secondary education will be an asset.
• 2-3 years of experience in retail or related sector, it does not have to supervisory. Any supervisory experience will be an asset.
• Excellent communication skills in English are required.
• Well organized with attention to details.
• Able to interact with customers in a friendly and cheerful manner.
• Lift 50 lbs. boxes periodically throughout the day.
• Efficiency in English. Fast-paced environment; Work under pressure; Tight deadlines; Combination of sitting, standing
Benefits
As per BC Employment standards act4% vacation pay of the gross salary will be paid or 10 days of paid vacation.
