Currently, we are seeking for full-time Veterinarian. This will be a full-time and permanent position. We are a busy, friendly clinic that maintains a family-type atmosphere for both clients and staff with a wonderful, helpful, and capable support team.

Position Details:

Employment conditions: Day, Early morning, Morning, Evening, Night, Weekend shift, On-call

Wages: $60.00 to 65.00 hourly (to be negotiated) / 35 to 40 hours per week

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Business & Work Location: Surrey, BC

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose diseases or abnormal conditions in individual animals, herds and flocks through physical examinations or laboratory tests.
  • Treat sick or injured animals by prescribing medication, setting bones, dressing wounds or performing surgery.
  • Vaccinate animals to prevent and treat diseases.
  • Perform routine, emergency and post-mortem examinations.
  • Advise clients on feeding, housing, behaviour, breeding, hygiene and general care of animals.
  • Conduct veterinary research related to areas such as animal nutrition, health care products development, and disease prevention and control.
  • Enforce government regulations in disease control and food production including animal or animal-based food inspection.
  • Provide a range of veterinary services including obstetrics, dentistry and euthanasia.
  • Responsible for the overall operation of the animal hospital.
  • Supervise animal health technologists and animal care workers.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine or optometry.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience required.
  • Applicant must be fluent in English.
  • Applicant must be ethical, reliable, and have efficient interpersonal skills.
