Salary: $32.00 per hour for 35 hours per week

Overtime:1.5 times gross pay after completion of 40 hours

Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of cleaning staff, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to standard.
  • Create and manage work schedules for cleaning personnel, ensuring adequate coverage and timely completion of tasks.
  • Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to improve staff performance and skills.
  • Train new cleaning staff on proper cleaning techniques, equipment usage, and safety procedures.
  • Conduct regular inspections of cleaned areas to ensure adherence to cleanliness and hygiene standards.
  • Provide feedback to staff on performance and address any issues related to cleaning quality or procedures.
  • Monitor and manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ordering replacements as necessary.
  • Identify areas for improvement in cleaning processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure that cleaning equipment is well-maintained, reporting any malfunctions or needed repairs.
  • Enforce health and safety regulations, ensuring that all cleaning practices comply with safety guidelines.

 Role Eligibility:

  • A secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a cleaning or facilities management role, with a track record of supervisory or leadership responsibilities is preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate a team of cleaning staff.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and schedules, maintain organized records, and ensure operational efficiency.
  • Knowledge of various cleaning techniques, equipment, and chemicals, including their safe and effective use.
  • Proficiency in maintaining records related to cleaning schedules, staff performance, and inventory.
  • Capability to perform physical tasks associated with cleaning, including lifting and carrying equipment, and standing or walking for extended periods.
  • Keen attention to detail to ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
