Responsibilities
- Fabricate metal components for transport vehicles and equipment according to specifications.
- Perform welding repairs on damaged vehicle parts to ensure safety and functionality.
- Inspect welds and materials for quality assurance and compliance with industry standards.
- Set up and operate welding equipment, including MIG, TIG, and arc welders.
- Collaborate with engineers and mechanics to understand project requirements and timelines.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and regulations.
- Cut and shape metal pieces using various tools and techniques to fit project needs.
- Document and report welding activities and materials used for inventory and tracking purposes.
- Train and mentor junior welders on best practices and safety measures in welding.
- Participate in regular maintenance of welding equipment to ensure optimal performance.
