Chemical Lab Technician (NOC 22100)

Wage: $28.75 per hour (full-time position, 32 hours per week)

Job Description:

• Set up and conduct chemical experiments, tests and analyses, quality control tests
• Provide detailed analytical logs of each stage of chemical process
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment
• Prepare solution, reagents, and sample formulations
• Compile records and interpret experimental or analytical results
• Develop and conduct programs of sampling and analysis
• Assist in developing and conducting sampling and analysis
• Assist in development of standards, health and safety measures

Job Requirements:

•  Education: University degree or advanced diploma in Chemistry
• Type of Work Experience: Analysis; Product development and formulation
• Analytical Techniques: Microscopy analysis; Thermal analysis; Electroplating analysis; Particles, surface and colloid chemistry; Statistics
• Experienced in developing, improving or customizing tests, formulas, manufacturing processes
• Possess strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
