Job Title: Fibre Optic Cable Splicer
Nature of Employment: Permanent Full Time Position
Salary: $ 34.50 CAD per hour for 35 hours/week. Overtime pay at 1.5 times regular rate of pay after 44 hours. May be required to work some weekends
Job duties:
- Assemble and install fibre optics cable
- Test fibre optic cables for proper performance
- Splicer fibre optic cables using fusion splicing and mechanical splicing techniques
- Troubleshoot and repair fiber optic cables
- Read blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to determine installation requirements
- Calibrate and adjust equipment as needed
- Maintain records of work performed
Language: English
Education: Secondary (High) School Graduation Certificate
Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
