Job Description

Location: 7250 Keele Street, Unit 304, Vaughn, Ontario, L4K 1Z8
Start date: Starts as soon as possible

Education: A university degree or college diploma in human resources management or a related field, such as business administration, industrial relations, commerce or psychology or completion of a professional development program in human resources administration is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer staff consultation and grievance procedures
  • Plan, develop, implement and evaluate human resources policies and programs
  • Review HR projects to assure compliance with laws and regulations
  • Advise managers and employees on the interpretation of human resources policies, benefit programs and collective agreements
  • Establish and implement policies and procedures
  • Research and prepare occupational classifications, job descriptions and salary scales
  • Administer benefit employment equity and other human resources program
  • Co-ordinate employee performance and appraisal programs
  • Research employee benefits and health and safety practices and recommend changes
  • Respond to employee questions and complaints
  • Liaise with management, union officials and HR consultants
  • Organize staff consultation and grievance procedures
  • Provide customer service
  • Recruit and hire staff
  • Evaluate work environments, programs and procedures to control, eliminate, and prevent disease or injury
